The Job Analysis of Chiropractic 2005 is a report that summarizes the practice of chiropractic in the United States based on the responses of more than 2,500 full-time chiropractors from all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Survey respondents reported information on their daily tasks and professional responsibilities, as well as the conditions they see in their offices. The report also includes a summary of chiropractic efficacy research from around the world. The job analysis reports (which are updated approximately every five years) are used extensively to inform and educate state licensing boards, associations, legislators, and insurance companies on the practice patterns of full-time chiropractors. Additionally, the reports are used by educators throughout the profession and by the NBCE in the development of the NBCE Part III written and Part IV practical examinations. The NBCE also produces a brochure titled Studies on Chiropractic 2005 which summarizes the literature reviewed in the job analysis. This Web site includes downloadable PDF files of each chapter of the Job Analysis of Chiropractic 2005, as well as the Studies on Chiropractic 2005 brochure. Interested parties may order copies of Job Analysis of Chiropractic 2005 and Studies on Chiropractic 2005 on this site or by contacting the NBCE. |
